Secure your organisation with an integrated intruder alarm system We’ve been working with schools, colleges and other educational institutes across the south of England for many years, helping them to protect visitors, staff and property.
During this time we have installed systems in many impress establishments, including The Weston Library, The Bodleian Library and many Oxford Colleges.
Our security installers will work with you to understand the individual needs of your organisation to develop a customised intruder alarm system that can be integrated with your other security systems.
Out of hours security can often be a problem for educational organisations, especially schools and colleges. Whether you need external security, or just need to protect key internal areas of your buildings, Chris Lewis Fire & Security engineers can design an intruder security system that’s just right for your organisation.
We will carry out a detailed security survey of your premises and talk to you and your key stakeholders about your requirements and current challenges. We will then develop an intruder alarm system that uses the latest security technologies to deliver proven protection.
Chris Lewis Fire & Security are approved burglar alarm installers recognised by the NSI (National Security Inspectorate), formerly known as NACOSS. See our other accreditations and industry affiliations and find out how the products we use in our Public Sector systems are compliant with regulations.

A: Outdoor wind and sun can easily affect the surface temperatures of human bodies and the working status of the camera, which results in a deviation between the measured body surface temperature and the actual body temperature. To ensure the accuracy, we strongly recommend applying the solutions indoors.
A: No. At present, cameras with accuracy higher than ±0.5℃ require real-time calibration with a blackbody and intelligent compensation. The accuracy of a blackbody calibrator is currently ±0.1℃. So it is impossible to achieve ±0.1℃ accuracy by the cameras. Solutions with higher accuracy ±0.3℃ are available.
A: The camera detects human bodies when screening. It supports up to 30 persons at a time. But still we recommend to carry out temperature measurement person by person.
A: The cameras are able to use human body detection technology, so other heat sources will not cause false alarms.
A: The cameras need to be warmed up before using. Turn them on and wait for 5 minutes (handheld camera), 30 minutes (bullet / turret camera).
A: Only supported by high-end models (TP21B). Not supported by economical models (TP31B).
