- Verifying each camera’s view, focus, and zoom; confirming it’s capturing at the specified resolution
- Testing PTZ cameras: pan/tilt/zoom, presets, and patrols
- Cleaning lenses and housings; removing any obstructions (e.g., cobwebs, foliage)
- Inspecting external dome seals for correct seating and wear to prevent moisture/condensation

- Checking DVR/NVR health and uptime; confirming all channels are recording
- Verifying frame rates, resolutions, bitrates, and retention meet your agreed settings; adjusting if required
