Addressable Aspiring Systems
The addressable aspirating smoke detection system uses multiple air sampling points positioned around your premises, drawing air through a network of pipes. This air is analysed by the detector, and if smoke is identified, the system alerts the control panel and pinpoints the exact location – enabling a fast, effective response.
Warehouse (Industrial) Systems
The VESDA Laser Industrial Aspirating Smoke Detector is designed for harsh and industrial environments, from warehouses and mines to livestock facilities. It features a fail-safe Intelligent Filter and advanced clean-air barrier to protect optics, delivering reliable detection and long chamber life without the need for recalibration.

What is a VESDA system?
VESDA stands for Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus. It’s an aspirating smoke detection system that continuously samples air through a pipe network, detecting smoke at the earliest possible stage – often before it’s visible.
How does VESDA work?
A fan draws air through sampling holes in pipes installed throughout your building. This air passes through a laser detection chamber that identifies microscopic smoke particles. Much more sensitive than standard smoke detectors.
Where is VESDA typically used?
Server rooms, data centres, ceiling voids, cold storage, warehouses with high ceilings, heritage buildings, and anywhere that needs very early smoke detection or where standard detectors don’t work well.
Is VESDA more expensive than standard fire alarms?
Initial costs are higher, but one VESDA unit can cover large areas that would need many standard detectors. Lower maintenance costs and fewer false alarms often mean lower total cost over time.
Do you maintain VESDA systems?
Yes. We maintain the systems we install and take over maintenance for VESDA systems installed by others. Regular servicing includes filter changes, airflow testing and sensitivity verification.
