A Stunning Country Home
The owners of this property wanted to add a variety of reliable and hassle-free smart home features to add even more luxury to complement their stunning new country home. They were keen to enjoy the benefits of the latest technology but also wanted their systems discreet and not to distract from the home’s interior design.
The Challenge
Our brief was to design and install integrated audio-visual and lighting systems that could be easily controlled from a single platform – both within the house and remotely.
More specifically, they required a media room with surround sound, intelligent lighting and automated blind control, whole-home sound including the pool areas, and full Wi-Fi coverage. As it is a family home, it was also essential that all systems were easy to control and could be programmed to each family member’s individual needs.
The Solution
The Chris Lewis Smart Home team used a variety of high-end brands to convert the client’s brief into a high-functioning automated system. The backbone of this was a Control4 platform that integrated all the audio, media and lighting.
As the clients were keen for systems to be as discreet as possible, the Chris Lewis Smart Home team used invisible plaster-in speakers and hidden cabling so nothing would detract from the ornate ceilings and décor of the property.
Finally, the clients wanted a sunrise effect to be created with lighting in the pool room. For this, the Chris Lewis Smart Home team used Lutron DMX to control the lighting’s hue with spectacular results.

The system was built around a Control4 platform integrated with Lutron DMX lighting control, invisible plaster-in speakers and automated blind systems.
