We’re looking for professional team-players to join our customer services, sales and service engineering departments

We are recruiting for someone to join our Customer Services Team, an experienced Telephone Sales Person and a Multi-Disciplined Fire and Security Maintenance Engineer. The right candidates will be energetic and proactive individuals, able to provide support to each team.

The Customer Services team member will report to our Customer Service Manager and work closely with all other departments.

Duties will be varied and include amongst others:

  • Answering the Customer Service telephone line and overflow from the switchboard
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Logging calls and scheduling engineer visits
  • Typing, checking and posting updated specifications
  • Assist with processing of company orders
  • Ensuring all customer messages are logged and returned

The Telephone Sales role will report to the Sales Manager and will liaise with all other departments.

Duties will be varied and include amongst others:

  • Dealing with customer queries on the telephone, Live Chat and email
  • Typing and dispatching proposals and specifications to company standards
  • Creating enquiries for contractor reports
  • Providing sales and administration support to the Customer Services Department
  • Assisting with other general administration duties.

Both roles require the following personal qualities:

  • Good written communication and organisation skills
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to cope under pressure
  • Self motivation and the ability to work proactively
  • The desire to take on responsibility
  • Be a keen team player
  • A good standard of GCSE including English and Maths

The Multi-Skilled Fire and Security Maintenance Engineer will be required to provide an efficient, professional and comprehensive installation and maintenance service for a wide variety of security and integrated fire systems in residential and commercial properties. 

Key activities:

  • Attending customer sites according to scheduled appointments
  • Assisting in the maintenance of small and large security and fire systems
  • Providing detailed onsite analysis of actual and potential system issues and communicating these clearly to the customer as required
  • Proposing and explaining work undertaken and identified requirements for additional works to the customer
  • Identifying opportunities for system additions by seeking to understand additional customer requirements
  • Ensuring that the customer is happy with the work undertaken and that the site is left in a clean and tidy state.

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years working in the security industry
  • Solid working knowledge of Galaxy, Scantronic, Texecom, Castle, Intruder, Gent, Notifier, Advanced or Morley Fire, Paxton Access Control, FAAC and BFT Gates and quality CCTV Systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to work out of normal hours if necessary
  • Full driving licence – this position will require travel to customer sites
  • Able to competently trouble shoot all types of system
  • Able to think on your feet and to remain calm under pressure
  • Personable and equally able to work as part of a team or unsupervised where necessary
  • Keen to maintain extremely high standards of workmanship and a professional image at all times
  • Customer service focused

Training

For all these roles supplementary training will be provided, depending on the candidate’s specific requirements and experience. Training will be provided both in-house and through external sources if required.
